The isolated chatgpt responses would be wonderful. Possible as a software update if I get the WP2 before it's available? That's the last thing I'm spoiled by that this concept lacks- All the world's information accessible right when I think to need it. Great idea using limited ai as a solution
I actually disagree with this one. I think that having limited AI would make this device just another attention stealing device. I few obstacles in the way of every random answer is a good thing in my opinion. One of the biggest things that used to make me pick up my smart phone constantly (before I switched to wisephone I) was me trying to answer a random question that was not actually important. If it was an important question, I can bring up my computer to answer it.
@@andrewnewswanger8394 I can see your perspective. For some, it can be very helpful and for others a distraction. Let's say a feature like this was created but only allowed to be used if you opt-in via an online portal. What would you think about that?
@@CameronPak I think that would be a lot better. To me the key would be to not be able to turn it on and off on the phone itself. When I still had a smart phone, I had nothing but failure trying to uninstall distracting apps (I would just redownload them). I would still prefer it to not be a feature at all, but I do understand that this device is made for more people than just myself. The ability to turn it off online would be essential (in my opinion) to keep the phone appealing.
@@andrewnewswanger8394 I see what you're saying, I have the same issue but the other way around; I'll be less distracted if I don't have a reason to open my laptop to search for an answer, as the phone doesn't let me fall into the youtube scroll hole, but every google search offers a yt video about it. Because Cam's idea is to give the gpt feature isolated responses rather than a conversational flow, I don't think it will be stimulating enough to to warrant just sitting there interacting with it for the sake of procrastination. Not for me at least. With this kind of an idea and especially for the demographic (addicts lol) it serves, I think *every* feature/app should probably be opt-in upon setup, and perhaps even on an optional self-set timer so that you have to go and reenable certain apps if you choose to, just to provide an extra bit of friction in the areas you might need it. Let's not forget that smartphones, for better or worse, are the single most effective tool to connect ourselves to the world, giving us access to nearly everything every human has ever learned. That's amazing and so valuable. It's managing everything mentally detrimental that comes with that that we're trying to mitigate here, but that doesn't necessarily mean we need to cut ourselves off entirely or defer to a separate technology which makes available all those distractions we were trying to get away from in the first place. Now that I think about it, directly after the advent of chatgpt is the perfect time for this product to be made, I think it's a really perfect solution.

Working on it!
